5 Amazing Fruit Bath Recipes That Heal

In today’s fast-paced society, it’s rare for people to take the time to do something as simple as a bath. Long before modern showers were invented, kings and peasants alike marveled at the healing powers of a bath with added elements. Plain water may feel relaxing, but just by adding in an ingredient or two from your kitchen, your bath can double as something that can heal you from the inside out.

But before taking a fruit bath, you should shower to open skin pores. Taking a bath no earlier than two hours after a meal is highly recommended. Usually, a fruit bath takes about 30-40 minutes, with a water temperature of 96.8 degrees (36°C).

Orange Refresh Bath

Peel off three oranges, dry and grind their peel in a coffee grinder. Add two glasses of fresh orange juice, and stir thoroughly. In the end, add a few tablespoons of olive or flaxseed oil. Fill a bathtub halfway with water and add half of the bubble bath. Get in the bathtub and continue to fill it with water. Pour the mixture into a warm bath. Lemon Boost Bath

Whether you prefer to use fresh lemons (we suggest about five to six of them, squeezed) or lemon juice (about 1/2-3/4 cups). The bright fruit will leave your skin glowing. Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is renowned for its medicinal benefits, whether taken internally or used externally, to treat several conditions. It’s one of the best ways to soothe the pain of a sunburn, and it’s excellent for fighting skin problems, including fungus and bacteria that settle on the

skin. It also eliminates body odor and offers joint pain relief for those who suffer from gout, arthritis and just about any other inflammation-related condition. If you need a detox, an ACV bath is great for sweating those toxins out and even inducing a more restful night’s sleep.

Apple cider vinegar is beneficial as it’s a rich source of vitamins C and B vitamins and contains powerful antibacterial properties. Plus, it can help balance the body’s pH levels too. As the skin is the body’s largest organ, it sometimes needs assistance to remain balanced and healthy, and soaking in an ACV bath helps nourish it to keep it that way.

To use it, fill your bath with warm to hot, but not too hot, water and then add one cup of apple cider vinegar. Soak for 20 to 30 minutes. Afterward, follow with a cool shower to rinse off any excess vinegar.

Fresh ginger root

A ginger root is one of the best ways to eliminate toxins from your body, due to its antibacterial properties. It’s an excellent natural treatment when you’re suffering from a stuffy nose or sinus ache, helping “sweat out” the cold and congestion. Ginger’s potent anti-inflammatory properties are great for relieving sore muscles and easing pain after a workout. It even helps reduce the pain of arthritic conditions. It will make you sweat a lot, so be sure to keep yourself well hydrated while soaking, and ideally, take it near bedtime as it will help ensure a better night’s sleep.

For a ginger bath, peel the skin of fresh ginger root and grate it using a fine grater until you have about a half cup. Add it to a warm bath and soak for 15 to 20 minutes. As it will likely make you sweat quite a bit for an hour or so afterward, plan to wear a bathrobe or clothes you don’t mind sweating in. To enhance the effects, sip a cup of ginger tea while you soak.
