There are things you may be doing daily that are negatively affecting your bladder or pelvis. Even certain body types may experience different complications when it comes to the lower region. Things like drinking, smoking, intense workouts and sitting can increase your chances of having pelvic or bladder pain. Sitting For Too Long

In general, sitting for too long is just unhealthy. If you’re doing a lot of sitting, chances are you aren’t active. This lack of exercise can affect your waistline applying pressure on your organs below. For example, a large waistline can make urinary tract infections worse with time.

Some studies even suggest that people who sit five or more hours a day along with low physical activity have a higher chance of having a weak urinary system. You could even see yourself having the urge to urine more than normal.

Smoking

When thinking of issues with the bladder or pelvic area you may not think about smoking, but they relate. Smoking can irritate the bladder causing urine leakage and an overactive bladder. Even the excessive coughing caused by frequent smoking can cause urine leakage.

Also while smoking you are inhaling more than just smoke. Each inhale includes lots of air which will result in bloating. A combination of smoking, drinking and overeating are bad for your overall health.

Drinking Alcohol

Drinking alcohol can also cause bladder problems. Any drink that has caffeine, can potentially bother the bladder and increase your symptoms such as a frequent urge to urinate.

Our bodies are mainly made up of water so it is important to drink plenty of water and less alcohol. How much water you need varies on the size of your body and its activity level. Ideally, you’ll want to drink enough fluids that make you pee every few hours to make sure you are purifying your organs.

Overeating

Just as stated before, a large waist circumference can potentially cause problems with pelvic pain and the bladder. Whenever you overeat, your stomach can expand for an extended amount of time resulting in applied pressure on your lower region.

To avoid this issue, try paying close attention to how your abdomen feels during your meal. This will help you decide when to stop eating and prevent the bloating pressure you experience if you ate more. 

Intense Exercise

Exercising too intensely can add pressure to fibroids causing more growth. This could potentially cause bleeding. An intense workout routine can also affect your hormones and cause bleeding outside of your period.

You can expect this to naturally be fixed after a couple of months once your body gets used to your new schedule. If you are having trouble, activities like yoga or walking are perfect low-intensity exercises that will still get the job done.

Starting a routine that entails medium to low-intensity workouts, plenty of water and clean eating will be a great start for any issue with your bladder. Consistently watching what you eat and drink is always a great idea. Your bladder will thank you!
