5 Foods “Made in China” to Avoid:

1. Rice

China has been producing fake rice for at least four years, and it is still on the market. Singapore media reported that this “rice” is produced with potatoes, sweet potatoes and – believe it or not – poisonous plastic. It is shaped like regular rice grains but remains hard after cooking and can cause serious health issues.

The rice in question China’s Wuchang rice. The rice is very popular because the real Wuchang rice is famous for its smell, and it costs more for its quality (almost double the price), according to Blue Ocean Network (BON) TV report, a popular English Channel in China.

But many consumers still don’t know what they’re getting. Be sure to check the label to see if your rice was shipped or manufactured in China.

An undercover journalist has found out that in order to make the fake rice, a small amount of real Wuchang rice is mixed with plastic rice, sprayed with a fragrance to replicate the original rice smell, packaged and shipped to stores across China. It was reported that annually 800,000 tons of real Wuchang rice is produced, yet 10 million tons of “Wuchang” rice is sold – whether plastic or another type of rice; more than 9 million tons of it is fake.

2. Cod Fish

Cod is another type of fish that is fish farmed in China. This fish is not healthy and lives in its own waste. This type of fish tends to be sold in processed foods such as fish sticks or frozen dinners. Remember that the more food is processed, the further it is away from its God-given state. Avoid these highly processed codfish in

pre-packaged dishes. Currently, just over 50% of American Cod comes from China.

3. Chicken

Yes, chicken. In 2013 the US Department of Agriculture approved the sale of Chinese chicken in America. Many food safety experts are concerned with the quality of this chicken as China is a country where avian influenza and food-borne illness are common.

Beyond that, China produces more pesticides than any other country in the world and is polluted by not only that but mass production and industry. You can get around this by looking for labels on chickens and eggs that are locally-farmed in counties, farms, and cities close to you.

4. Tilapia

Tilapia is commonly fish-farmed in China. These fish are some of the worst, most toxic and unhealthy fish that you can come across. A tilapia fish will eat anything, comparable to a bottom-feeder fish and fish farming is a small pool of wastewater that the fish live in.

It’s one of the worst fish purchases you could buy and it’s commonly known that in China the seafood farmers won’t even let their children eat the seafood that they farm, that should tell you something. 80% of the Tilapia in America comes from China.

5. Industrial Salt

Industrial salt is unfit for human consumption yet Industrial salt was sold as table salt for 13 years! Industrial salt can cause both mental and physical issues, hypothyroid problems as well as reproductive system disorders.

Now if that isn’t enough to get your mind thinking, here’s

one more:

Pork, well, I mean Beef (but it’s really pork)

In China, pork is much cheaper than beef, which is why many restaurants try to pass off pork as beef by covering it up with sauces. However, before they ship canned “beef” to America, they first use a beef extract and glazing product.

They soak the meat in this solution for a few hours, after which, it allows the pork to appear like beef. What exactly is in this beef extract and glazing agent? But remember this, dogs are commonly eaten in China. Enough said.
