People are motivated to create new goals every year to set them up for success! From losing weight, starting a new facial regimen, becoming healthier, including more of this and excluding less of that – In a sometimes grandiose manner, people activate their power to be better.

Some seek new trends in hopes of committing to regimens that others claim work! For them, “what’s good for the goose is good for the gander,” Right? They are hopeful that the new “hot thing” will work while being careful not to become obsessed with possible results.

Let’s take our friend, celery, for example; it’s been around for centuries; however, in recent years, celery has become quite popular and garnered some much-needed attention.

People commonly consumed celery as a healthy snack, as an afterthought, or as an addition to something tastier.

For instance, some ways in which people have eaten celery were with peanut butter, as a refresher to eat alongside chicken wings, with hummus, or even mixed in so well into your favorite dish that, though unseen, its flavor permeates the most intellectual to novice palates.

Can celery juice help eczema?

Celery moved from being the best-supporting veggie, complementing many dishes, to the leading character as the power veggie for healing eczema!

Consuming celery juice on an empty stomach in the morning can yield fantastic results for the skin, especially for those with eczema. Just what is eczema, and why is finding alternative healing so important?

According to the Mayo Clinic, “Atopic dermatitis (Eczema) is a condition that causes dry, itchy and inflamed skin. It’s common in young children but can occur at any age. Atopic dermatitis is long-lasting (chronic) and tends to flare sometimes.” Some symptoms include rashes, swollen skin, bumps, and raw, darkened, and sensitive skin.

The National Eczema Association shared that people spend an average of $600 per year on treatment for the skin virus. For others with more severe cases, the costs can be more than $5,000 – so imagine the excitement of those living with eczema when they learn of this “new” power veggie that can reduce their woes one sip at a time.

What makes celery so powerful, and is it a trend or a remedy for curing eczema? Let’s take a look at the powerful nutrients found in it. Celery contains about 95 percent water, soluble and insoluble fiber, and carries minerals like sodium, magnesium, and iron, which help alkalize the body. Celery is full of antioxidants and contains vitamins C, A, K, beta carotene, and flavonoids, and is high in minerals like potassium and folate.

Since eczema is inflammation of the skin (among other things), and celery contains over 25 anti-inflammatory compounds, it’s clear that it has a direct impact on the skin!

It’s a powerful tool, and though consuming it is beneficial, it doesn’t mean that if one drinks celery juice, they should neglect treatments disclosed by a primary care physician. Instead, they should consult their doctor for the best plan for them.

Given its demand, there is easy access to celery juice; those willing to make it themselves can make it with a blender or a juicer, and almost all grocery stores, from chains, health and mom-and-pop shops, carry the power green drink.

So, is the consumption of celery juice a trend or a remedy? The truth is, it’s both! It’s a trend because people have seen the benefits of celery consumption, and then, they’ll “try it” to see if it works.

For others, they want to see results; they need to see it – and for them, it just may be the remedy required to reset their lives, save money, and walk confidently in their skin.
