After telling the world that she has reached her ‘weight release goal,’ popular singer Lizzo has now dropped pictures of her dramatic weight loss, and the internet is going nuts over it.
The famous singer looked significantly slimmer in a short teaser for the music video to her upcoming song, “Love In Real Life,” leaving fans anticipating its release.
This comes a month after Lizzo gushed about how happy she was to reach her weight loss goals after years of exercise.
And its posted almost one year to the day after Lizzo announced that she’d be embarking on a health and wellbeing transformation. Speaking at the time, the Good As Hell songstress shone a light on her “intentional weight-loss” journey.
“I am actually on an intentional weight-loss journey right now. Even at the end of my weight-loss journey, I’m not going to be considered thin by any means. I will still be considered morbidly obese on the BMI. And little bros on the Internet are still going to call me big backed. But I will be happy,” she explained.
On TikTok, the 36-year-old singer shared a quick video where she was dressed in a body-hugging black jumpsuit and leather jacket.
She put on a show for her fans by slowly unzipping the leather jacket to reveal her figure, swaying from side to side, and gesturing toward her body as she posed confidently in front of the camera.
Adding to the flair, Lizzo lip-synced to a background audio that quipped, “If being sexy was a crime, I’d be serving life in prison for multiple homicides.”
She also included a headline-worthy caption to the post, “Lizzo stuns in sexy new selfie.”
Fans of course shared their two cents when they saw the sudden weight loss.
Most people who have been overweight for quite sometime, it takes some time for the weight to come off. And Lizzo is no different. One of her key factors in seeing results is consistency.
Lizzo says that she is not looking to adhere to the conventional beauty standards with her fitness journey. “Hey. So I’ve been working out consistently for the last five years, and it may come as a surprise for some of y’all that I’m not working out to have your ideal body type. I’m working out to have my ideal body type,” she said in the video. “And you know what type that is? None of your f—— business,” she said in 2020.
The “Good As Hell” and “Truth Hurts” singer told The New York Times in March 2024 that she thinks of herself in terms of “body neutrality” instead of body positivity.
Lizzo Addresses Ozempic Accusations as She Reveals ‘5 Months of Weight Training and Calorie Deficit’ “The idea of body positivity, it’s moved away from the antiquated mainstream conception,” she said. “It’s evolved into body neutrality.”
“I’m not going to lie and say I love my body every day. The bottom line is, the way you feel about your body changes every single day,” she continued. “There are some days I adore my body, and others when I don’t feel completely positive.”

In March, Lizzo declared her intention to “quit” amid continued criticism, but explained days later that she wasn’t quitting the music industry.
“I just need to clarify when I say, ‘I quit,’ I mean I quit giving any negative energy attention,” she said in an Instagram post Apr. 2. “What I’m not going to quit, is the joy of my life, which is making music, which is connecting to people—because I know I’m not alone.”
