“Excellence comes by preparation” is something that has been instilled in the mind of a 15-year-old girl high school senior from Indiana who received perfect scores on her ACT, SAT, PSAT exams and AP tests.
Love Osunnuga’s perfect scores are mind-boggling to many or just plain unheard of. Just having a perfect score on the ACT of 36 and a 2400 on the SAT is a feat that less than one-tenth of one percent of people who take the tests each year can say they’ve achieved.
With her scores, Love has her choice of nearly every university in the country, but because she’ll only be 16 when she graduates high school in 2016, because she skipped two grades 1st and 5th, her family is hoping she’ll stay close to home.

Love says her top college choices are Notre Dame and University of Chicago and she wants to become a doctor to specialize in dermatology because she suffered from eczema as a child.
“I saw they could just give these medicines and creams and that would make you feel better,” Love explained, “and…
…I thought that would be something I would want to do.”
Even with all her academic accomplishment, she doesn’t see herself as a genius, just a typical teenager who loves video games, riding her bike and playing musical instruments.
But her parents know better.
Love’s parents are proud of their daughter and say that her accomplishments aren’t typical. Her father, Sunday is an ER doctor, and her mother, Grace, who is a nurse and professor, say that education was the most important thing in the household.
“In Nigeria, we already know that there’s nothing that can make your life worthwhile or better, except if you have a good education,” said her father Sunday. “Being in the best country in the world, having been given all the opportunities, we expect a lot from our kids.”
So what is their secret to raising Love?
“We lead by example,” they say.
Named after 1 Corinthians 13 — “Love is patient, love is kind” — Love’s parents say their daughter is living up to her name.
