On June 20th, the highly anticipated “Beautiful Woman Inside and Out” conference comes back to North Carolina bringing empowerment, energy, national experts and motivation to women and teens.
“Am I thin enough, tall enough, does this blouse work with this skirt, how do I handle this gray hair, what’s the best mascara, how do I navigate my job, finances and stay sane? These and many more questions plague women,” says Sharon Allison-Ottey, MD (affectionately known as Dr. Sharon), a nationally recognized author, speaker, physician, health advocate, and host of the “Beautiful Woman Inside and Out” conferences which are held throughout the year around the country. She is a native of Kannapolis, NC.
“No matter our age, our race, marital status, profession, religion or core beliefs; women want to be their best—inside and out and that is why I started this conference. It’s a conference that truly focuses on empowering women to celebrate who they are now and who they want to become,” added Dr. Sharon Allison-Ottey.
On Saturday June 20th at the Embassy Suites Golf Resort and Spa, hundreds of women and teens will attend the “Beautiful Woman Inside and Out” conference. Registration remains open for attendees, vendors and authors. “This is a conference filled with interactive sessions, energy, gifts and special treats for the women and teens who attend.
Bringing this conference to North Carolina is special to Dr. Sharon because she was reared and educated in Kannapolis. “I am who I am because of my loving hometown and North Carolina roots; my beloved A.L. Brown High school which fed my interest and love for science and my teachers who allowed me to dream. My home church, Bethel Baptist Church, which nurtured my speaking abilities with the oratorical contests and the members who have supported me at every stage of my life and still see me as just their “Sharon”, said the emotional Dr. Sharon.
“Every woman and teen wants to feel special and we do make them feel just that, special all day long. This is about appreciating and embracing womanhood! I push my team to the limit and tell them that we have to keep taking this conference to the next level; that we have to WOW every participant because women need to be loved on, appreciated, empowered, nurtured, spoiled and to be given a beautiful day!” says Dr. Sharon Allison-Ottey who further states, “The teen component is one that I am very proud of; our goal is to infuse them with self-esteem, special training on etiquette, beauty tips and most importantly feeling good about themselves! Growing up in Kannapolis, I had family, aunties, teachers, friends and church mommies who always encouraged me and taught me invaluable lessons that I have used in my life.”
The Beautiful Woman Inside and Out is a conference that really is a treat for the women and teens who attend. Another unique aspect of this conference is the Friday “Girls Night” which is filled with free pampering sessions, music, food and fun. “A Beautiful Friday Girl’s Night with Dr. Sharon and Friends,” is a great pre event that is open to all registrants.
