Bobby Brown Jr. Cause of Death Revealed

Bobby Brown Jr., the son of R&B singer Bobby Brown, died back in November of 2020. During that time, it was unknown as the cause of death. But a 15-page report just came out that revealed the late singer’s son died from the “combined effects of alcohol, cocaine and fentanyl.”

According to the autopsy report released by the Los Angeles County Coroner, it also said that “no drugs or drug paraphernalia” were discovered at the scene in Encino, a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, where Robert Barisford Brown Jr. was found dead on Nov. 18.

While alcohol and cocaine are familiar to many, fentanyl may not be. Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid that is similar to morphine but is 50 to 100 times more potent. It is a prescription drug that is also made and used illegally. Like morphine, it is a medicine that is typically used to treat patients with severe pain, especially after surgery.

It is also sometimes used to treat patients with chronic pain who are physically tolerant to other opioids. Tolerance occurs when you need a higher and/or more frequent amount of a drug to get the desired effects.

In its prescription form, fentanyl is known by such names as Actiq®, Duragesic®, and Sublimaze®.4,5 Street names for illegally used fentanyl include Apache, Dance Fever, Friend, Goodfellas, Jackpot, Murder 8, and Tango & Cash.

Brown Jr. was the son of Kim Ward and Bobby Brown.

The 28-year-old’s death is yet another blow to the Brown family. If you remember, the past few years have been an emotional rollercoaster ride for the senior Bobby Brown.

He’s had his run-ins with the law over drug possession and use, went back and forth with his New Edition family, but it was his family and those closest to him that seemed to have suffered the most.

His ex-wife, famed superstar Whitney Houston, was found dead due to an apparent drug overdose in 2012. Plus, one of the hardest things Brown says he had to deal with and is still dealing with is his daughter Bobbi Kristina’s death.

Bobbi Kristina tragically passed away at the young age of 22. Her death came almost six months after she was found — in circumstances eerily similar to her mother’s death — unconscious in her bathtub.

Months later, Bobbi Kristina was placed in hospice care on Wednesday, June 24, after treatment in a medically induced coma.

She was surrounded by family and friends at the time of her death.

An investigation revealed, through an autopsy, that Bobbi Kristina had morphine, cocaine, alcohol and prescription drugs in her body, but the medical examiner couldn’t determine if she killed herself, if someone else killed her or if her death was accidental.

Bobbie Kristina’s ex, Nick Gordon, was also found dead, at age 30 in January of 2020.

According to TMZ.com, Nick Gordon had some sort of black fluid foaming out of his mouth when someone called 911 and he wasn’t breathing.

How does Bobby deal with it all?

He said he takes life day by day and remembers, that he has angels around him now.

“Angels are keeping me on the right path,” explained Brown. “What keeps me moving is that I know I have more angels now watching over me. My mom, her [Bobbi Kristina], even Whitney.”

Our prayers go out to Bobby and the whole Brown family.
