It’s so important to raise awareness about chronic obstructive pulmonary disease all year long. During November’s COPD Awareness Month we want to share resources and information about this lung disease that affects more than 11 million Americans. Let’s connect with individuals and caregivers impacted by COPD by raising awareness of COPD and sharing the American Lung Association’s free resources and support services.

What Is COPD? – Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema, is a progressive lung disease that makes it harder to breathe over time.
Managing COPD – It’s possible to live a healthy and active life with COPD. Get tips and tools for how to manage COPD, from creating a management plan to tracking your medication and healthcare needs.
Finding Support – Finding the right support is an essential component to improving your day-to-day life, whether you are living with COPD or caring for someone affected. Learn how family, friends, co-workers and healthcare teams can support those living with COPD.
Finding a Clinical Trial – Clinical trials are carefully monitored scientific research studies that find better ways to prevent, screen for, diagnose or treat a disease, including COPD.
