Actress and America’s Got Talent judge Gabrielle Union shared a glamorous mother-daughter picture to her Instagram account that showed just how much both beauties look alike. Photographer April Belle captured the ladies in the shot, which the star captioned, “Settled and Serving.”

Union, 46, wore a turquoise two-piece with a statement necklace, covered by a coordinating Aphrodite Goddess Kaftan by Sai Sankoh’s self-titled resort-wear brand (“Thanks for doing my kaftan such justice,” Sankoh wrote in her own Instagram post of the picture).

Kaavia, meanwhile, matched her mom in a printed dress and head wrap. The outfit was first seen on the youngster back on July 6, when Union shared a photo of her daughter in the look on the Instagram account she and husband Dwyane Wade run for Kaavia.

Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade are new parents to a little baby girl.

The actress took to Instagram on Thursday to make the big announcement.

The child, whose name was not disclosed, was born November 7 via surrogate, the actress said.

The “Being Mary Jane” star wrote she and Wade “are sleepless and delirious but so excited.”
“11/7 will forever be etched in our hearts as the most loveliest of all the lovely days,” she wrote. “Welcome to the party sweet girl!”

Union and Wade have been married since 2014. This is their first child together.

Gabrielle Union opened up about her infertility issues in her book, We’re Going to Need More Wine.

In it, Union, who married Wade, now back with the Miami Heat, exclusively told People in 2014 that she had “never wanted kids. Then I became a stepmom, and there was no place I’d rather be than with them.”

Wade, 36, has custody of his

two sons with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches — Zion, 10, and Zaire, 15 — and also is raising a nephew, Dahveon Morris, 16. He additionally has a son, Xavier, 3, being raised by a former paramour, Aja Metoyer.

“I have had eight or nine miscarriages,” Union, 45, writes in the book.

“For three years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant — I’ve either been about to go into an IVF cycle, in the middle of an IVF cycle, or coming out of an IVF cycle.”

And choosing to go the surrogate route isn’t that easy either.

Commercial surrogacy is a business transaction in which buyers rent a woman’s womb to gestate one or more babies. In return for the rental fee, the woman agrees to surrender the babies she births to the buyers.

There are two types of surrogacy, traditional and

gestational. In traditional surrogacy, the woman’s own egg is artificially inseminated, making her the biological mother of the child she carries.

Traditional surrogacy is generally disfavored due to the legal and emotional complexities involved. In gestational surrogacy, a child is created through in vitro fertilization (IVF) using the gametes of the buyers or third parties, and then implanted into the surrogate.

A gestational surrogate is not biologically related to the child she carries.

Gabby ends her instagram message with a song that sums up how she feels looking at her new baby:

When I wake up in the mornin’ love
And the sunlight hurts my

eyes
And there’s something without warning, love
Bears heavy on my mind

Then I look at you
And the world’s alright with me
Just one look at you
And I know its gonna be
A lovely day
A lovely day 🎶

We are wishing the beautiful couple many more years of parental bliss!
