Ex-NFL Player Making $37 Million – Gives It All Up To End Hunger

At one point of his life, Number 60, Jason Brown, was a top center in the NFL and had a five-year, $37 Million dollar contract with the St. Louis Rams. But one day, he gave it all up.

No, it wasn’t because he got hurt.
No, it wasn’t because he didn’t want to get hurt.
No, it wasn’t because of his health or family.

He said he did it for God.

“My agent told me, ‘you’re making the biggest mistake of your life,'” explains Jason. “And I looked right back at him and said, ‘No, I’m not.'”

And with that, Jason decided to open a 1,000 acre farm. But get this, he NEVER worked on a farm a day in his life!

So what did he do? He did like many of us when we don’t know how to do something: he went online and researched everything he could. With his newfound knowledge, Jason started planting.

Jason calls the farm the First Fruits Farm, where he gives away the first harvest of EVERY harvest every year to feed the homeless in his area of North Carolina.

“Out of obedience, we started looking for available farmland,” Jason explains. “This is when I made a covenant with God and told Him that whatever place He blessed us with, we would name it First Fruits Farm and that his people would receive the first fruits of whatever is produced from the land.”

In his first year of harvest in 2014, Jason harvested his first 5 acres which netted 100,000 pounds of sweet potatoes. So that’s just only 5 acres of his 1,000 acre farm, so easily Jason will be giving away over 10 million pounds of food with every harvest!

“I am successful. Not in man’s standards, but in God’s eyes. When I think about a life of greatness, I don’t think about football, I think about a life of service,” explains Brown.

“Love is the most wonderful currency that you can give anyone,” confesses Brown.

Now on his farm there are research opportunities for college students, events, and of course large donations to many food shelters around the state.
