Prostate Orgasms: The New Male G-Spot?

Prostate Orgasms

Yes, it is possible for someone with a prostate to orgasm by massaging it through their anus. Many of us knew that already, but does that mean it gives the best orgasm to men?

The prostate gland is a male reproductive organ whose main function is to secrete prostate fluid, one of the components of semen. The muscles of the gland also help propel this seminal fluid into the urethra during ejaculation. Yet it is highly ignored by most men who believe any type of anal pleasure to be taboo, wrong, or too gay for them to take part in and still be considered manly.

And that’s definitely understandable, as research on the subject and people even talking about it openly as heterosexual has been only in the past few years.

The prostate gland is 3-4 inches (7.5-10cm) from the beginning of the anal canal, and it’s about 1 inch (2.5 cm) across. It’s just behind and above the deepest portion of the penis, and it’s right below the bladder. The urethra (the tube running from the bladder and out the penis) runs right through the center of the gland. The prostate is on the other side of the rectum (the last portion of the digestive system). During sexual arousal, it begins to fill up with fluid that it releases during ejaculation.

A British sexuality researcher named Roy Levin has just published a review paper about it.

At the center of the research is a 63-year old unnamed man was healthy, with a normal prostate and high sex drive. He purchased an Aneros helix, a fancy butt plug, to massage his tender prostate after an infection. Combined with his daily tadalafil prescription (that’s Cialis, an erectile dysfunction and urinary tract infection drug), the sex toy made the infection go away. But naturally, he also began having extreme orgasms that were very powerful, reports Gizmodo.com. He felt them everywhere—his penis, his anus, his pelvis, and his perineum (the place between the anus and the scrotum).

The man became addicted.

The man needed to wear a condom in order to catch any of the semen that came out when he finished, reports the researcher. And soon, he was able to rewire his brain so that laying flat and putting on the condom was enough to get him off, no butt plug required. That’s when the problems started, as the scientific paper details:

This subject found that while the orgasms were extremely enjoyable at the time, he could easily spend too much time experiencing them. Further, he had an old neck injury which flared up in association with some neck spasm at orgasm whilst lying prone. It has proved difficult to stop experiencing these orgasms and ‘unwire’ himself back to normal.

Eventually, the man figured he should go back to masturbating and having regular sex. He still had up to 10 non-stimulatory orgasms before ejaculating during these encounters, but was able to stop having these random orgasms for a few months at a time.

So you be the judge. I know plenty of men, me included that have a fear of anything going IN back there, I’ve always gone by the “exit only” pledge. But to each their own.

In my opinion, the main problem I see that arises if a man has to “re-wire” or “convince” himself to like it. No one should have to convince you to do anything sexually. If you like you like it. If you don’t, you don’t.
