Taraji P. Henson Hospitalized: “I’m One Tough Cookie”

“Empire” star Taraji P. Henson was hospitalized Friday. Posting photo on Instagram from her hospital bed, Taraji shows her arm with an IV drip inserted in it.

This is what she had to say to caption her current situation in the hospital:

God has a way of saying “you’re doing too much!” “SAT DOWN SOMEWHERE”. I’m listening Father!!! I am taking several seats!!! Don’t worry y’all I’m a tough cookie! HA! I will be just fine. My momma and best friends are flying in to check on me. I AM FINE!!!!!!! Just need to SAT ALL THE WAY DOWN for a bit. #listentoyourbody

A representative for Henson said that she will be fine. “It’s mainly exhaustion,” the rep went on to say.

But what about you? Even though Taraji has television shows, movie casting calls, a son, etc, doesn’t mean you have any less to do. You too could be burning yourself out.  Here are 3 sure fire signs that you are “Doing Too Much”:

1. Breaks No Longer Help
When you’re overwhelmed or stressed a good 15-minute-break should help you put things into perspective. It’s a designated amount of time to allow your mind to reset and expel any stress you may be induced with.
If 15-minute-breaks are consistently not helping you reset, then you’re taking on too much.

2. Early Anxiety
Before your day officially begins, you can feel the anxiety building up. It’s not healthy to allow stress to embody your existence on a daily basis. Obviously it’s absolutely normal to experience periods of stress however, those times should not take over your daily regiment.
Make a list of the priorities in your life and evaluate what is not a necessary to do on your list.

3. Social Procrastinator
One sign tof getting burned out is to spend way too much time on Facebook, Twitter, message boards, blogs, ESPN, news sites, anything to put off doing work. As a person who gets burned out, procrastinating on things like surfing the net, tweeting more and commenting on Facebook posts and blogs is a way many cope.
