People love the sun and water accompanied by ribs, chicken, or burgers. The only problem is, more people are becoming vegan or vegetarian every day.

This doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy some of your favorite foods by the grill. Here we have a list of some delicious foods that can be thrown on the grill that are completely meatless!

Beyond Meat

Beyond burgers are perfect for those who are looking for the chargrilled taste but don’t eat meat. These burgers have some very simple ingredients starting with Water, Pea Protein*, Expeller-Pressed Canola Oil, Refined Coconut Oil, Rice Protein, Natural Flavors, Cocoa Butter, Mung Bean Protein just to name a few.

The best thing about the ingredients for these burgers is that it contains words that are recognizable which is rare for a good majority of the food.

The beyond brand has branched out to meatballs, breakfast sausage, and crumbles. These are great alternatives for those who just recently gave up meat.

Tofu

Before people were eating meatless burgers and wings, they were scarfing down a plate of tofu. When seasoned and spiced, tofu can be a really good replacement for Meat. To ensure you get the best-grilled tofu you could ask for, make sure you press down on the tofu to get rid of any excess moisture.

For a good flavor, you can marinate tofu in soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, liquid smoke, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and olive oil. The liquid smoke is what’s going to allow your taste buds to get the savory char flavor that meat would have.

Mushrooms

Thick mushrooms like portabella mushrooms are a great substitute for meat. They are thick and juicy enough to even be eaten as a burger.

Cabbages

This may not be the most appealing or popular option, but after adding red pepper flakes and a little char it can be delicious. Usually, cabbage is boiled or sauteed inside of the kitchen, but when prepared on the grill these veggies have a great flavor.

Peppers

Typically peppers are added to the meat for aesthetic appeal or for flavor. They are highly underrated as a stand-alone entree at a cookout.

Zucchini and Squash

Although these are completely two different types of vegetables, they are a match made in heaven. Prepared on the grill with onions and mushrooms make for a great meal at the cookout.

Corn on the cob

Yes, corn on the cob is a great side at a cookout, but when seasoned correctly it can easily be the main course for the night at the grill.

Onions

Onions are typically used to add flavor to meats of other vegetables, but if you cut them in thick slices they can be eaten whole next to the zucchini and corn

Baked Beans

Baked beans are an essential part of a cookout, but usually, they are prepared in the kitchen. Putting beans on the grill not only has the potential to be delicious, but it can also be highly convenient. It only has six ingredients, it takes 30 minutes to prepare and you don’t have to worry about cleaning the kitchen afterward.

Cauliflower

When it comes to grilling cauliflower steaming it first will help the core become tender. Afterward, you can add things like butter, lemon juice, or barbecue sauce to give it a kick.
