Twinkies vs. America’s Other Popular Sweet Snacks

A box of Twinkies with Sweetest Comeback labeling

Twinkies…the nutritional facts, as compared with other sweet snacks, may surprise you.

Twinkies, the ever-popular snack cake, is about to make a “sweet comeback.” Hostess Brands went bankrupt in 2012, but based on an outpouring of nostalgia sparked by its demise, Hostess is expecting a blockbuster return thanks to a joint venture by private equity firms Apollo Global Management (APO) and Metropoulos & Co.

A spokesperson says that nearly everything about the cakes will be the same, but that the boxes will now bear the tag line “The Sweetest Comeback In The History Of Ever.”
