“Why I Stayed” Hashtag Sheds Light On Domestic Violence

Social media was set on fire after the second video of Ray Rice and his wife surfaced. Scores of women from all over the world chimed in about their experiences with domestic violence.  The hashtag, #WhyIStayed was a trending topic for a few days after the incident. We captured a few of the compelling tweets from brave women who shared their stories about why they stayed in abusive relationships.

• Threatening violence
