Oprah Reveals Weight Loss & Love For Her New Body

Oprah is a billionaire businesswoman, media mogul, my favorite auntie (in my mind) and so much more to so many others. So we’re not mad for Queen O to be “feeling her curves” a little bit nowadays. For years, the mogul has been candid about her struggle with her weight. Showing off her weight loss one season, only to confess her weight gain another season. But these days, Oprah looks amazing, thanks to help from Weight Watchers meal planning and exercise.

It’s been nearly a year after she became the spokesperson and a shareholder in Weight Watchers, Winfrey is loving her slender frame. And why not? She’s earned it! She showed off her new physique in the pictures (below) from the Premiere of her new OWN:

The series, which follows three estranged adult siblings forced to come together to save the family’s Louisiana sugarcane farm, will debut September 6th on OWN.

“When I first dreamed of creating a network, this was the vision I had in mind,” said Winfrey, noting that Queen Sugar uses an inclusive cast to showcase people of color and demonstrate their sense of hope, community and inspiration. “To those who said it could never be done, I say, ‘Never count me out.'”

Queen Sugar is based on a 2014 novel by Natalie Baszile. True Blood alum Rutina Wesley, who plays journalist (and pot dealer) Nova, said that she likens her character (the righteous reporter aspect of it) to Mark Ruffalo’s in Spotlight.

So with all this love she’s showing her new body, what does the mogul’s love life, specifically with her beau fit Steadman Graham?

“I would like him to pick me up and carry me to the pool,” she joked to PEOPLE Monday at the premiere of OWN’s new original drama series Queen Sugar.

“I’ve lost enough weight, he can pick me up and carry me to the pool. I can straddle him without breaking his back.”

Winfrey, 62, has yet to reveal her total weight loss, but she said in January that she had lost 26 lbs. And in May, the TV mogul said Weight Watchers has been a true lifestyle change.

The theory behind Weight Watchers is that there is more to weight loss than counting calories. It’s simple math if…

… you make healthy choices that fill you up, you’ll eat less. Weight Watchers’ new Beyond the Scale Program, launched in late 2015, assigns every food a SmartPoints value, based on its nutrition. (Higher amounts of saturated fat and sugar increase the point value; higher amounts of protein bring the point value down.) Choices that fill you up the longest “cost” the least, and nutritionally dense foods cost less than empty calories. So if you’re trying to decide between a 200-calorie fruit smoothie and a 200-calorie iced coffee, the smoothie is the smarter choice. A backbone of the plan is multi-model access to support from people who’ve lost weight using Weight Watchers and kept it off.
